Atlantic Oskar Cabinet for 464 CDs or 228 DVDs

So, I read all of the reviews before I bought this and a lot were good reviews. However, I always start with the bad ones to decide if it is worth the risk. Well most of the bad ones said it was impossible to put together and very weak in construction. Well if you have a decent electric screw driver, a hammer, and patience you will do just fine. The predrilled holes were fine and I had no problems getting things to line up (But then again wood working is a hobbie of mine). I did take the easy way out and purchased this instead of building one myself. But I did read the bad reviews so I was prepared for the worst when it arrived. It was quite easy to put together and is sturdier than I expected. The product looks great in my home and turned out better than I expected. I had planned on having to build this on my own with the materials provided and it was just great. I would recomend this to anyone in need of storage for DVDs and CDs. The price is great and the shipping was really fast. I will buy this model again when I need more space. I might even get another one to replace my old wire DVD racks that I have had forever just because I am happier with this. Good luck to all who purchase this and I hope my review helps.

I bought this DVD stand the end of December and I didn't get it until January 6 from site to store! They not only delayed the delivery but then it wasn't what I expected! It looks nice but it's not that sturdy-if you have an apartment and if your landlord doesn't mind then screw it in to the wall but if you have a landlord who minds then it would not feel that stable! It doesn't hold as many DVD's like it says because once I transferred my DVD to the new stand it fill it up in one day-so now I use the bottom three shelves for my CD's and the top shelf for DVD's! So basically I need another DVD stand because I love buying movies to watch at home since I have small kids and can't get out as much!

Quality fair,one of the light-weight metal round "locks" broke when tightening.Only holds 448 CDs(28 per shelf),not 464(29 per shelf) as advertised.Back sections are taped together,and some were misaligned left to right.Also thin foam packing was stuck to this tape,and couldn't be removed,so joints were not flat when back installed.Particle board is low density,so some nails didn't hit anything,when installing back,and care must be taken when tightening screws.Some of the holes for the round "locks" and the wood dowels were too small,making these parts hard to install. Bottom line:I paid low price,I received low quality.Works for what I needed,but probably would pay more and buy one made by Sauder if doing again.

This shelf isn't quite what I expected but it's still very nice. The only thing I'm disappointed in is the fact that I don't believe it's possible for it to hold 228 DVDs, as advertised. If you want to use all the shelves, then you won't be able to if all you're putting in it is DVD's. They simply won't fit.

Easy to put together with the plans, hardware packaged nicely to find the different pieces. Comes with 4 extra shelves for use, if using for CD's. These 4 extra shelves do not fit, if using for all DVD's. Reasonably sturdy, attractive unit. Great Price.
