Durango Gym Play Center & Swing Set

It arrived in a delayed fashion - but still within the window quoted, arrived with a broken slide - that the manufacturer quickly sent a replacement. It took 4 adults 2 days to put together. In the end pretty stable and a good play set for a four year-old.

I found the product to have better quality wood than I expected. I had no issues with broken or missing parts. Instructions were easy enough to follow. Reading others reviews, and expecting a possible building disaster, I found assembly to be rather easy. It wasn't complicated by any means. I am not a pro at building anything, just an average guy putting together a playset for his kids. I suppose the asembly was to take 4 hours or so from start to finish. My father and I worked casually at it, and completed assembly in about 6 hours. We took our time leveling, making it plumb, and drilling holes where neccessary. The unit went together as expected per the instructions. After the assembly was complete, I went ahead and sealed the wood for weathering. The kids play all over it constantly. Its rather sturdy, and I expect it'll be around for quite a while.

I bought this play set for my daughter's birthday. She LOVES it. My brother and his friend had it put together in a little over 6 hrs. The directions are not written instructions--its just pictures and what step number you are on. So, it does take some thinking and planning-I was really glad my brother knew how to do construction. The set is very sturdy and beautiful when it is finished. We are very happy with it-especially with the low price!

This swingset was awful! The stain on the wood came off on my kids cloths and stained them. It only lasted 1 year. We had a wind storm (not too bad) and the swingset fell over and busted in a million peices. The wood is really bad and not made to last! If you want a nice wood swingset, do not get this one. We replaced the swingset with a metal one because it will last longer. Very poorly made and very disappointing!

I would like to say that this product is not worth the hassle of buying it. I bought this playset for my 3 year old birthday. My dads came to put it up and before they even started they noticed the wood was worped and the hardware looked like poor quality. My dads have been in the contracting business for 25 years so its not like they dont know what they were talking about. They started putting it together and the second board they tried to bolt together spit and the bolt head popped off. I could not believe I paid the kind of money for something my dads build for less with actual wood. Needless to say I was highly disappointed and called the same day to have it picked up the following week.
