the wood is not strong and can break very easy, will not last very long.
This is a great set, big enought for our 2 1/2 yr old grandbaby to grow into, was very easy to assemble, very safe and fit great in the side yard.
We just put this swingset up 2 weeks ago and my 5 year old and her friends love it! It's a very nice looking set. It did take hubby and friend all day to get it together, labeling the parts first and making sure you have ALL the tools will be a BIG help. We did add an additional stake to each post to keep the set from shaking when both swings are in use. Once we did that, it was perfect! No concreted needed, in fact, it's recommended that you don't use any concrete at all - not needed. And this set is designed for 4 children at 110 pounds each to give a total weight limit of 440 lbs. I got this straight from their Customer Service as this was one my initial concerns. We are very happy with this set!
This went together in about 4 hours using two adults and all children out of the way. One adult was experienced in using power and hand tools. Requires some drilling as all holes are not pre-drilled. Familiarity with types of hardware definitely helps. Working on a flat LEVEL surface, such as a driveway or patio is a big help. Instructions are pretty good, but be aware that everything you need to know is not written in the instructions. You have to pay attention to the diagrams also. We ended up redoing a section because of this. Our son is nearly three and it seems to be just the right system for him to be able to happy with for a couple of years. All of the wood was sanded well and stained on both sides, so it looks good. If I could do it over, I think I would double over the plastic fort-roof edges when putting on the screws. Even though they have washers, doubling the fabric would help with the tearing that I know will happen. It would have been a good idea for them to put rivets on the tarp. The A-frame wooden parts are not as sturdy as I had hoped. Older children will not be allowed on.
DONT GET IT!!!!! ITS NOT STURDY, ITS UNEVEN! THE WOOD AND NAILS ARE CHEAP. THE WOOD IS ALREADY CRACKING. I DONT SEE THIS LASTING TO A FEW YEARS!!!!!!!
