Just used this trimmer for the first time. Bump feed doesn't work with the supplied .095 twist line. I tried taking it out and reloading but bump feed still doesn't work. I had some left over line from my old trimmer .08 and loaded it. This solved the issue bump feed works fine. The manual recommends the .095 twist line but the bump feed won't work with that recommendation. Otherwise the trimmer works great!
Worst instruction I have ever used I can't feed more line had to return 3 times cause there send used ones wanted to call for help but it told me to go to website and hung up on me but I need to speak with a real person cause the online instruction are useless
the life of the battery. doesnot last long
My husband has the original 40v with the pre loaded spools of line and loved it but we upgraded to this one because the one he has you can't put attachments on it, so we got this one and before even using it he noticed it doesn't come with the preloaded spool string so now he's mad and hates this one!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First Let me say I do LOVE this string trimmer. It is really powerful and cuts thick grasses down to the dirt. I bought it August of 2021 so only used it once or twice that fall. Summer of 2022 I used it probably half a dozen times but I started having a LOT issues with the string. It would not wind as expected and I could only put a small piece of string in and had to take it all apart to even do that. This Summer I found the solution take the head apart and SPRAY everything with WD40 or some other similar product. String issues were solved! Now I can just put the string in the hole and wind it as expected no disassembly required! I wish I figured that out faster. UNFORTUNATLY, the Battery Life is decreasing after basically one full summers use. (I have used it 4 times this summer). It came with two of the 4 amp 20 volt power share batteries. When I first got it the batteries lasted 30-45 minutes but now the batteries only last 17 minutes. I do have a second set of batteries that are only 2 amp 20 volt and lasted the same if not a bit longer. I have only used the provided charger and always let them fully charge. It seems crazy to spend hundreds on batteries that take hours to charge and then only work for 17 minutes! I have a lot of string trimming to do, and at this rate, with the 2 sets of batteries, It will take me 4-5 different uses to get everything done and then I will have to start over again without a break. I do LOVE this trimmer but probably not the best choice if you have a lot of string trimming to do and want to get it done in 1-2 weekends.
