Greenworks - 80V 13” TORQDRIVE String Trimmer with 2.0 Ah Battery and Charger - Black/Green

I have used this exactly 2 times and it no longer works. The button that you push to release the battery is broken and the battery is stuck inside of it. During the last trim and some of this one I had to keep the trigger engaged because the safety lock is catching and won't push in intermittently. I am so glad this happened before I bought the pole saw, leaf blower, and snow blower that I was going to purchase. I will call them when I don't work to see if they will replace this lemon of a model but I think it is just really poorly made based on my 2 uses and others reviews. My previous corded trimmer from another brand was built way better and less than half the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got mine in today and all three pieces (Lawn Mower, Weed Eater, Leaf Blower) were very easy to setup and performed excellently. I love all the thoughtful features included in these but the thing I love the absolute most is that the lawnmower has a cover for the battery in case you were to get caught out in the rain, and the lawnmower is extremely gentle with almost no vibration whatsoever which is HUGE for me because I typically hate push mowers just because they make my hands itchy but not this one. The cut was excellent and it seemed to use less power when cutting less congested areas and it would ramp up the power when cutting more congested areas. Would give this bundle 6 stars if I could.

I bought this a couple weeks ago. First time I used it, it failed to run a couple times when I squeezed the switch, and had some light smoke coming out of the trimmer head. Just used it today for the second time... After about 30 feet of light border trimming, it stopped working all together, and smoked pretty bad... I thought maybe it overheated, so I let it sit for about 30 minutes... When I tried it again, it acted like the trimmer head was locked up, and smoke came out of the trimmer head, again... Going to contact them Monday, and see what they're plan is...

The trimmer itself was fine. The issue is when I tried to find a replacement spool. I tried winding the string, but it is almost impossible to keep lines tight before getting this inserted into the device. I called support and they referred me to a replacement spool, but it doesnt fit at all. According to the sales rep, the item would fit on my trimmer. But nope.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this Greenworks 80V combo kit delivers impressive performance. The mower cuts clean and has plenty of power, the blower is strong enough to handle heavy leaves, and the string trimmer is lightweight and easy to maneuver. Everything feels well-built and is a great value for a cordless setup. However, the biggest downside is the battery runtime. The kit comes with two 2.0Ah batteries, which only give you around 15 minutes of use per battery on most tools—less if you're using turbo or tackling heavier jobs. It's really frustrating to have great tools that can't run long enough to finish even a small yard in one go. I found myself stopping too often to recharge. If this kit came with 4.0Ah or even 5.0Ah batteries, it would be nearly perfect. Hopefully, Greenworks considers offering that option in the future. If you already have other 80V batteries or plan to upgrade them, this kit is a great investment. Otherwise, be prepared to either work in short bursts or purchase higher-capacity batteries separately.
