The enamel cracked after a single use of the self cleaning feature. According to service, its non warranty due to the fact that its cosmetic. It is also normal for GE ovens to crack the enamel when high temperatures are used for cleaning. Buyer beware, they admit their ovens crack from normal use.

After looking for several months for a new double oven, I liked the looks and features of the GE. It was delivered the day before Thanksgiving and I was doing the cooking, right away I noticed the noise from the fan blowing out very hot air out the bottom of the unit, within a few minutes the whole kitchen was so warm I had to open the windows and turn on the fan. I called the company I bought it from and they did send 2 repairmen, they checked it out and said sorry that was the way it was built, nothing they could do. I am very disappointed, I very seldom use both ovens at the same time because of the heat issue, next time I will look for an oven with a top vent so the heat from the vent will rise and hopefully not make the room too uncomfortable.

We replaced a 30 year old different brand which died on us with this GE. We've been using this for about 2 months now. We had previously replaced our cook top with a GE and love it and had an older GE Profile range in our old house. The new GE double wall oven is nice, but it is not without issues and it lacks features our old GE Profile had. The good: Both ovens cook well and evenly and once up to temp they both seem to maintain the temp fairly well. Cookies and cakes bake evenly with the cookies browning evenly even when multiple racks are used. Both ovens roast well, too. On delivery, neither oven was true to temp (one was under by 5 deg and the other by 25 degrees), but we were able to adjust the temp using the control panel so that both ovens are now actually at the temp shown on the display. (When doing that adjustment, be careful where you place your oven thermometer. I had mine very close to the oven door and that area is cooler than the middle of the oven, so my initial adjustment made the ovens too hot.) Finally, we really like the Alexa connectivity through GE's Geneva app and use it frequently. The best part of that is the oven sends a notification through the app when it has completed preheating so even when we're in another part of the house we know it's ready to cook. The not-so-good: Unlike our circa 2005 oven, there is no probe feature to sound an alarm or turn the oven off when the meat (or whatever you're cooking) reaches a set temp. Others have noted that while there is a delay on feature, there is no way to then turn the ovens off. Both were features on our older GE Profile stand-alone range and it's odd GE discontinued those features. While the probe issue can be more-or-less managed with a probe thermometer, the inability to turn the oven off makes the delay cook feature nearly useless. Both ovens take oddly long to preheat, but the top one takes far longer than the bottom one. It is larger so there is some logic to that, but I would expect the heating element to be correspondingly larger as well. Bottom line: We would probably buy this again, but we would spend more time looking at alternatives instead of just defaulting to the GE Profile line as we have done in the past.

I have not had the oven for very long but so far I am pleased. The oven heats quickly and holds heat efficiently. The roll out rack is very helpful. The Wi-Fi feature is o no use to me. I would rather see features like a meat temperature probe or both ovens convection capable. I am disappointed in the install instructions which indicates that on both top and bottom of the unit there is a 1" overlap on the cabinet. There is only a 3/8" on the bottom. The specifications on this are not accurate and I would recommend that if they are critical one should wait for the delivery of the unit and take measurements. I have written standards and may be more sensitive to discrepancies than most.

Ok. It works well, however... While you can schedule a delayed start time, you can not tell it when to turn off on this particular model. The oven tries to think for you. It makes odd adjustments to the temperature depending on the mode. I would just assume control the temperature myself. The WIFI is pretty useless. You had better remember to push the WIFI button before leaving home. It turn off every time you use the oven.
