Virgin Mobile LG Tribute 5 Prepaid Smartphone

Bought this phone almost a year ago. MUCH better than the tribute 1 that I had before. Dropped phone and the phone still works great even with a cracked screen. I plan to buy another one very soon,might even upgraded to another LG phone. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

One of my seven sisters gave me this phone and I have used it for about a year. It performs fairly decently for its useses, texting, talking, picture taking (rather good camera, fore and aft). Volume control placement is a serious drawback. I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I went with an LG Tribute because I was looking for a cheaper short term phone until I'd saved enough for a quality brand. At first I was pretty happy with its functionality given the price and then a couple weeks passed and I started getting low memory notifications. This with only three apps downloaded to the phone. The inability to add the apps I need makes this phone completely useless. I managed to extract a little more use by deleting all but one app and then deleting and redownloading when I wanted to use another but the longer the phone was in operation the more hidden files it kept adding to internal storage, files which it blocked me from removing. I was able to use it just as a phone and text device for a little while by constantly deleting miscellaneous and cached data that was available for deletion until storage dropped so low the phone just began acting up in new and unusual ways. For a time it would automatically power off and restart every 20 minutes or so. I finally had to throw it away when it began flashing an error message that showed back up as soon as I hit ok. I couldn't use it at all by that point because of the continual popups. My advice, save your money and buy anything but this model. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

A good phone for the price. Definitely a good value.

Would recommend this phone does everything it states it will do don't have to worry about preloaded apps you don't want .
