Bought within the past month - went to use and had leaked / corroded in package. Duracell quality is non existent - this has happened a couple times and I keep giving benefit of the doubt as it used to be a great product - DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU WANT TO RUIN SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!
I have bought Duracell batteries for decades. They always outlasted other brands and never had leaking or corrosion problems. The last package I bought, AAAs "good until 2023", are corroding in the package and in everything I've used them in. I don't have time to mess with this. It's time to use a different brand.
All 4 batteries had leaked before I even opened the package up. I don't have my receipt so I can't get my money back. I see a bunch of other reviews on the internet are saying the same thing about their packages of Duracell. Where's the Quality Control?
Bought several packages of these AA and AAA Coppertops and it's supposed to be good until DEC 2024. This month, (Dec 2019), almost all of them, are leaking like crazy, still in their original unopened packages and the ones I am already using on remoter controls, LCD displays and clocks. All of them has varying degrees of leaks. And the package says they're all "Made in the USA."??
I have purchased and used Duracell batteries all my life on the premise that paying a little extra I could get a quality product. I never had a problem with corrosion ever. Many times batteries would be in use for years without leakage. Then I noticed that Duracell batteries I was using came from China and I also took notice to excessive leaking and corrosion, often when the batteries had only been in use a short time. Often the leaking batteries had dates for shelf life for years. They have not only ruined ordinary flashlights but also expensive cameras, remotes, computer equipment, etc. I will now be changing to another brand any brand will be better than Duracell.
