I bought two gates to keep my one year old off the stairs & out of the laundry room away from the cat food. These aren't the sturdiest gates, but for $9 they do the trick! Works for the purpose we intended.
I bought these gates to keep my Chihauhau in the kitchen while I left for a few hours (my kitchen has two openings). Well, she is smarter than me! She jumped the gates while I was gone--it was a test run. So now I stack one on top of the other and put her in another room. I do wish the gates were taller, but stacking them is not a problem. They work quite well. I am used to using this type of gate, so don't have a problem with establishing the desired width to snug it up. I would definitely recommend them, especially for smaller dogs than mine.
Very useful for small pets or little critters (crawling grandchildren)

It's simple, light weight, cheap, and does the job! Just what I was looking for!
