This is the third of these sheds I have bought. The first one blew away in a hurricane and the second one I left behind when I moved from Maryland to Florida. It is easy to put together, easy to open and close and is very efficient for storage. The only modification I would make would be to install a hasp on the lid and front door and then secure them with a bungee cord in the event of high winds.
If you are looking to store small items or small boxes it will do the trick. Not so good if you are trying to store plastic storage containers. The low profile is great for HOA situations where nothing can exceed the height of your wall.
I am purchasing my second shed. I liked the first one so much I decided a second would be better. Assembly is quick and easy. It keeps stored items dry and looks good in the yard. I chose this specific model because it does not show above my 5' 6" fence which is important as I live in a condominium community. But most important to me was the overall value. This is dollar for dollar the best storage value I could find.
Product was packaged appropriately, but quite awkward and a little heavy. 2 person job to handle the box. There were absolutely no instructions included. Now I know there is only about 16 pieces, but I found the instructions on the vendor web site. There is a specific sequence it needs to be assembled that is not obvious. Seems like a paper copy could have been put in the box. Products assembled fairly well. The pieces fit adequately, but not great. The internal area is not an exact rectangle as the doors are curved. The vendor measurements are at the largest part and fortunately the items I planned to store still were able to fit. I considered making a shelf using the template on the box. I cut out the cardboard template and just for fun, wanted to see how it would fit in the shed. To my surprise, the template was off by about 2 inches in 2 directions. Had I made that shelf, it would never have fit and I would have been really torqued. Decent shed that works for what I was trying to accomplish. Price was fine, but the user experience was poor.
The Suncast Shed was sturdy and will likely make a good all weather cover for our pump area. I read previous reviews and concur with being careful about putting it together, especially the first levels. BE SURE to connect the back side and side pieces that interconnect BEFORE attaching them to the base. Otherwise you will have to disassemble them, which is NOT easy and it definitely will take 2 people to assemble/disassemble. We live in rural ND where we get a lot of wind driven snow in the winter. This shed is NOT one that seals well against the elements, but with some duck tape and old insulation, we made it almost weather proof. We had to buy the taller of the shed options because of the height of an exisiting power source, but overall we're pleased with what we purchased. Will write another critique once winter has come and gone.
