I am very pleased with my new tent! This is my second one ! My previous tent was smashed by a huge oak tree! It was so easy to put together! The instructions were easy to follow! I discovered a leak after a rainstorm. I contacted customer service and a new cover was delivered in three days! Fantastic customer service! Everything is okay now! Thank you Northern Tool for a great product and great customer service! Sincerely Tom
My Garage in a box has weathered 40 mph wind guests and nickel size hail. It provides a nice covered space. My neighbors liked it! I do too so far. The instruction said to use 30 inch stakes to secure the Garage in a box but supplied shorter stakes. .I dug holes and cemented all thread in it.Ran the all thread through the holed in the feet. Also replaced the supplied pulleys for the door with better pulleys. The bar that feeds through the bottom of the door I secured with self tapping screws. This prevented the bar from drifting in its holder.
Had the cheaper and smaller shed in a box that only lasted a year and a half. This unit seems more stable and should last a bit longer. Steeper roof to reduce snow load sitting on top and the material feels a little better. Time will tell but it is clearly a very temporary shelter. Also it did not come with enough hardware. Had to make a run to the store and get a couple dozen more bolts AND nuts. For my needs it will serve its purpose for the cost. Gets me by until I can afford a real pole shed.
I have purchased 8 of these suv garages. If you install frame and use steel roofing running side ways for sides, they hold up well to wind and weather. Ground stakes aren't the best. I always mount to treated lumber or railroad ties and then use 36 inch stakes to hold wood. Ends and doors last well in combination with the vented metal sides. Main canvas isn't worth installing will tear down center within 6 to 12 months. Work well to cover piles of big bales.
Was going to build a wooden out building. After checking the price that it was going to cost to build basicley the same size. This meet my budget. Later down the road, I may still build the building when the price of lumber comes down. For now this should get me by for a few years!
