3M Professional Noise Reduction Earmuffs, Adjustable, Black/Red, Foam-Filled

They fell apart after a few months...stored inside a garage. I won't be buying another set.

I bought the 3M Pro-Grade earmuffs to replace less expensive, poorly fitting set. I use them for operating loud equipment (continuous noise) and firearm use. Pros: These reduce noise significantly with all uses. They are comfortable, minimize contact area to the head, are not weighty and fully cover my ears. Cons: The fine print in the instructions tucked inside one of the ear cavities states "Earmuffs may be disassembled for cleaning...Let the foam liner dry before reinserting into the earmuffs."--how does one disassemble? The instructions also state "Typical life for foam cushions is six months"--is that with heavy daily use? If the earmuffs can be disassembled, where and for what price does one purchase replacement foam cushions? Definitely an environment unfriendly product if the entire product has to be trashed every six months if foam cups deteriorate.

Excellent noise reduction and comfortable to wear.

Headband is cheap and causes cups to slide down. That's it, the headband ruins the product.

The only problem has been the fragility of the plastic tubes in which the wires slide. Once they go bad, it means buying a new earmuff.
