Worked well with headset. Easy connection.
Item arrived unpackaged so I am not sure if this was a new or used item.
Thought these would be refurbished or something, but came in official packaging, and looked brand new. Works with any standard 3.5mm headset jack. Used wii u one and a $30 gaming headset got from gamestop. Nice to be able to change volume without going to Xbox one settings. NOTE: If you hear a buzzing like I did on one of my 3 controllers, might need to actually update firmware on controller itself, and luckily this purchase came with a micro-usb connector (I didn't have one) cuz you need to actually hook up directly to xbox (won't update via wireless). My other 2 controllers didn't need an update.
I was worried after reading reveiws that this item would break, but it has held up well to the abuse. It has been dropped and step on ect. I am very pleased how its held up. I suggest a rechargable batterypack because the headphones and this really drain batteries.
