I'm 58 with high BP and wanted a change from my treadmill. I've had the product for 3 weeks and can confirm it is as advertised. Just today I finally did 15 minutes (day 1, I could only do 2 min and 37 seconds)and was wasted. 30 minute cool down and I feel like I'm 38. Great product especially for the price. It's small and stands in the corner of my office when not using. Highly recommend.
Well made & substantial rower based on previous hydraulic piston rower ownership. Mechanically it provides a good workout and it is compact for space considerations. Putting it together was pretty easy and the instructions are well written. The meter did not work but a phone call to the customer service got a quick replacement. Overall a good purchase.
I like the 1215 Rower. Its well built and easy to use, and there is plenty of resistance for a hard workout. But I had two problems with the rower. The first is that I really had to crank the adjustment knobs down hard to prevent the adjustment from slipping during use. I have strong hands, and I struggled to get the adjustment knobs tight enough for them to not slip during use. The other problem is that due to the position of the foot pedals relative to the base frame, the foot pedals cannot pivot enough to allow me to stay flat-footed when I fully extend my legs. Its ends up feeling like I am standing on a steep hill, and its uncomfortable and awkward.
I am not a fitness guru but after 3 weeks I do enjoy my rowing machine. Some physical problems prevent me from certain activities which are hard on my joints. The rower is proving to be much better for me. Even on the lightest setting of 5 I do find the movement is very stiff though. I am getting accustomed to that and hope it loosens up over time.
The rower does give a good arm workout, but there is little variety in the resistance and I hadn't realized when I bought the rower that it didn't work the legs as well. I should have looked more closely, but I didn't. I had been hoping for a whole body workout. This works, but it is a real disappointment to me.
