Motorola Moto G4 Play 16GB Unlocked Smartphone - Black

I bought this phone for my son for Christmas, took it to the Verizon store a few days later to get activated. they tell me its not compatible with Verizon. if your looking for a phone to add to your Verizon plan keep looking!

Have had this phone for several months now. Takes great pics and videos. Very light and durable. The best phone you can get without spending a allot. I don't even use my laptop anymore because of this phone!!

For the money, this is a great phone. You can often find it on sale, especially around holidays. I would have given it 5 stars, if not for the volume for notifications/alerts, which could be much louder. At full volume, I cannot hear a notification if the phone is in another room. Ringer volume however, is very loud for incoming calls. The battery life of this phone is fantastic, plus, you can replace the battery should it ever die. Cannot do that with all smartphones! You have options for CDMA or GSM service, & both of those SIM cards are included. CDMA SIM card provides you coverage/service from Verizon, which is excellent! I have had no dropped calls or lack of service anywhere I have taken my phone. Activating the phone was ridiculously simple. I was up & running in 15 minutes. I purchased a 32GB SD card from Walmart, that I use for additional storage. Camera is ok, nothing spectacular, but does the job. For an unlocked phone you honestly cant go wrong here. If I ever want to change service providers I can with no hassle, & the OS can be upgraded when Android makes it available.

It is an okay phone... not too large. But I have had it less than 6 months and the GPS is pointless. By doing a web search apparently I am not the only one with problems with this.

First off I love this phone . The phone itself deserves at least 4 stars. I would give it 5 stars if the volume went a little higher and it had a little light or something when you got messages. What I don't like is that I searched for a straight talk Moto g 4 play and this phone showed and I bought it for my husband. I paid about $182. which includes the phone, warranty, and taxes. I bought the same exact phone from walmart.com from Verizon online for $50, plus taxes and the warranty was only $9. When I called to get this phone switched to Straight Talk they told me it was a Verizon phone and that I could switch it. I was upset. I'm going back and getting my money back and then buying the Verizon Moto g 4 play . I will save over $100. Buy this phone , not just from people that are selling it for this much.
