Philips Avent Anti-colic Baby Bottle Fast Flow Nipple, 4pk, SCF424/47

My one year old has been a bit of a fussy eater for most of her life. After two months of nursing perfectly, she went on a strike and would only take a bottle. After 2 months of struggling to get her to nurse again, I finally got her to breastfeed consistently and held off on bottles to keep her nursing. Fast forward 4 months, I try to give her the bottle she used to take so I can go out with my husband and get a break, and she won't take it! So after multiple failed attempts, I was happy to be chosen by wee spring parent panel to try these event nipples/bottle. It was nice that they came with different flow options, I would have really appreciated that if she were a younger baby, but since she's one I only tried the faster flow nipple. She wanted nothing to do with it. I am not entirely surprised, but I am disappointed, I was hoping she'd like it and I'd be able to get a break once in a while. Oh well. I was given the opportunity to try the Anti-Colic Phillips Advent nipples courtesy of WeeSpring Parent Panel. The package we got included one bottle and 4 Level 4 nipples. My 8-month old doesn't particularly have bad colic and has used a different brand of bottle since he was born. He was using a Level 3 nipple out of 4 available of his regular bottle so I thought the Level 4 Advent nipples would work just fine for him. Unfortunately the flow was way too fast for him. He was gulping air in order to keep up and milk was dribbling down the side of his mouth onto his chin. Aside from the nipple, we loved using the Advent bottle and how convenient it was to clean. When we took the bottle to go, I appreciated the bottle not leaking despite tipping over during travel. Thank you WeeSpring for letting us try this bottle, it's definitely a contender for our next baby's brand of bottle.

Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me the opportunity to try out these 4pk Avent anti-colic nipples size 4! As a mom of a 10 month old, and slowly but surely weaning him off of breastmilk, I was pleased with the ease of use and fast flow of these nipples. Though he has never suffered from any major colic issues in the past, he does often guzzle down his milk too fast at times and then chokes/spits up. This nipple/bottle system allowed him to drink at his pace without allowing extra air in and thus reducing his overall discomfort after finishing. I received size 4 nipples, which my baby has never tried before (we had only tried size 3 prior to this), and he didn't seem to notice any difference nor push the bottle away. From my end, I liked how the bottle was easy to put together, easy to fill, easy to feed. No mess or fuss which is a plus when you're like me in a time crunch. The only con that I can say is that there are multiple parts to the bottle that you would use the anti-colic nipples with (5- bottle, anti-colic insert, nipple ring, nipple, bottle cap) and at the end of a long day, less parts to wash is better. However, that being said, I would recommend this bottle and the fast flow nipple for babies who like their milk and like it NOW! :) Additionally, I can throw this in the diaper bag with the snug-fit cap and not be worried about it spilling all over.

These bottles have been a favorite from the beginning. As we got closer to the 12m mark the fast flow nipples were great to move right along with both my twins. They never had any issues transitioning. Both babies have been excellent sleepers since 4 months and have primarily used these avent bottles! I appreciate weespring parent panel for sharing in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.

As a mom of a baby with reflux, I want to thank Philips Avent for this anti-colic nipples and bottle line! They have been a life saver! When my baby was first diagnosed with reflux we went through several different styles of bottles and nipples...and many many sleepless nights. None seemed to provide both comfort for baby and reduce gas at the same time. These do both! I like that the are different nipple choices as not all babies are created equal. My baby has always preferred the Fast Flow nipples. He took it with no problems, no leaks and no spit up! After several uses, we noticed his gas had significantly reduced! He was able to just drink his formula and continue on with his day without struggling with gas/colic afterwards. And the best part was that he was able to sleep comfortably for longer periods of time. Which, hello, what parent doesn't want that?!
