Scotch Packaging Tape Hand Dispenser, Red, Holds 3" Core, 1 Dispenser

Poor complicated design. Difficult to fill with out instructions

I own two grey versions of this particular tape dispenser from 20 years or more ago, and have long searched for the same item to buy again. It seems to have been out of production for many years so I am thrilled to see it available again. This is by far the best and most controllable tape dispenser on the market. The testimonials from workers at UPS and other professional packaging operations here, speak for themselves. I have always found the big dispensers made of steel to be ludicrous overkill. The point is simply to be able to quickly position the tape properly to shut off a box and twist your wrist to quickly cut the tape. Huge, heavy, clumsy tools only obstruct this process.

This tape gun is so “safe” that it doesn't even work correctly. The teeth that are supposed to tear the tape are so far back they don't work no matter how hard you press the safety lever. The tape constantly sticks to the metal plate. You waste a lot of extra tape. I'm taking it back!

Why don't you make it easier for the customer to get the tape started. Don't you realize there are a lot of seniors, etc. who don't have FINGERNAILS to scrape the tape off the roll. You're a packaging company; you should make it easy to use your product!

I just bought a roll, Heavy Duty, won't stick to anything. Pulled out foot after foot and none of it is sticky. Will Scotch send me another roll? I sent them an E-Mail.
