Nutiva Organic Plant Protein Smoothie Powder, Vanilla, 22g Protein, 21.9 Ounces

I really like this smoothie mix. It is a good source of plant based protein as well as other nutrients that refuel me after my morning work out. Other mixes are just protein. I also like that it isn't too sweet tasting. I have not tried a mix that wasn't gritty in some capacity. This one is but when blended with frozen fruit it is tasty enough that I really don't notice it. It is more powdery than gritty.

This was pretty chalky even when mixing with a lot of milk and making a smoothie with bananas, but is amazing for making protein powder pancakes. In the pancakes, you don't notice the chalkiness at all! I personally wouldn't use this in a shake because it is just too chalky for me.

I have started to eat healthier, so when I received the opportunity, thought I would add the chocolate Nutiva Organic, Plant Protein Superfood Smoothie mixture to my diet, to just change things up a little, I have not tried smoothies before, for weight loss or a healthier lifestyle, so this is a new journey for me. This particular Smoothie mix is non-GMO, It is Soy-free, Gluten-free with no added sugar or stevia. Each serving has 21g of protein, 31 grams of amino acids, probiotics, and 25% Daily Value of 12 essential vitamins. The manufacture description say's it's never processed with hexane or other dangerous chemicals. The directions say to mix one level scoop of nutavia shake mix with 8oz of water, tried it, did not like it! It was gritty, and tasted watered down. I then traded water for 2% milk, then mashed a banana, and added it to my shaker. The taste was definitely an improvement, much better than just plain water. I do not know if adding the milk changes the benefits of the product, but it sure makes it more tasty. I like the new addition, so I will stick with it since I know I can add things to help the flavor, and texture. This protein powder may not be for everyone, because the taste is definitely something to get used to. But when combined with fruit, it definitely makes it more appetizing. It is a nutrient dense (full of vitamin's), Plant Protein Superfood Smoothie, so It's great for vegetarian, vegan, whole food, soy-free and gluten-free diets.

Changing my daily intake of vitamins and getting healthier more and more, this is a good way to get what you need when you are on the go. It's okay if you're not but I'll make a smoothie on my way out the door and I can feel the energy it gives me during the day. I recommend this to anyone who's into good intake of daily vitamins, prefer organic and looking for a daily boost!

First, I’m not one to drink protein shakes of any kind. Nevertheless, I tried and prepared this Nutiva Organic plant protein superfood smoothie as stated on the label and I did not like it at all. It is supposedly chocolate flavor but really has no flavor. Then I tried to find a recipe for this smoothie like stated on the label and could not find a recipe for this product directly. I wish they would have offered a direct link for recipes regarding this one product. Then I tried to mix it with my drink of preference which is when I became creative. I made a banana chocolate milkshake and added a scoop of this and was able to make it taste better and drinkable. I have to say I would probably make other smoothies just finish this product because I know it’s good and healthy for me. Also because I like to give everything a fair chance and because I don’t like nothing to go to waste.
