This scooter has worked out okay so far. It's a bit bulky to put in my trunk so I struggle with it. The knee pad is not very comfortable if you have to go far. I've also got my pants leg caught between the brake and rear wheel so be careful. I had a little trouble with assembling the knee pad but otherwise, it was fairly easy. The box came with a great big hole in the middle of it. Fortunately, none of the parts were missing. Overall, it's working out great for the price.
Container/Box had/had decals that states ,"if opened, this is an exchange only item. If unopened, you may return this item to the store for a refund." , a tear on the box was evident., but no visible damage to device. FedEx lost this package for 3 days, tracking package stated was on a truck in Texas on first day- 2 days later still stated was on a truck. FedEx called to verify if i had received package ...then i found out a day later my package was lost. FedEx took 5 days total for me to receive my package. Removed device from package then i discovered that one of the break pads was pressing on back wheel. i was reluctant to go "exchange" item, because the condition of my foot,( why else would require a knee scooter), Wal Mart doesn't stock this item and i wasn't going to wait another week. So construction gets 4 star rating
This is a super item to have after having foot surgery. It rolls really well inside. You must be able to maneuver it over obstacles, though, by picking up the front and lifting to get over those. Backing up and going forward is a practice that I used to get somewhere because it doesn't steer in tight places, because it doesn't make sharp turns, which I'm sure is a safety feature. Overall, it was a nifty item to have...much better than crutches when you're just able to use one foot.
The scooter works as designed and is very easy to use. My husband put it assembled it and I was ready to become mobile on the day of my surgery. It's not too hard to use on carpets, but it glides on hardwood and linoleum/tile/laminate. Good thing it has a brake! The basket is a nice feature, as is the swivel knee pad. Now, if it could just do steps, just kidding.
Very stable. Easy to assemble. The larger wheels make it easy to get around. The only thing that I would like to see improved is the turning radius. It has a larger turning radius than others so there is a lot of hassles trying to turn around in tight places.
