Rubbermaid 1034TL Blue Ice Weekender Pack

I purchased several of these in 1987, one of which I still use daily (lost the rest). my only issue after all this time is that they don't get fully frozen in one night, which why I am looking for more. I guess nothing lasts forever but this comes close.

I have two of these and I've had them for several years with no problem. I thought I saw a little blue but to be safe I want to replace them. Where can I discard these that is safe for the environment?

They work. If you use a good quality cooler they will keep cold for few days. Unfortunately after many freeze/thaw cycles, all four of my Blue Ice Weekender packs have started to develop leaks and always from the 'seal'. I hate buying something and having to throw it out. I've had the same product before and ended up throwing them away because of leaks. I think I'm on my third round.

purchase new ones a couple months ago. the old ones werern't staying cold anymore. the news have burst open. if left on "end" in the freezer, they freeze unevenly and break the plastic casing. the last one i have i lay flat in the freezer until solid. so disappointed in the new product and will not buy again.

Love the ice packs, but the seams on the bottom are breaking on the last 4 I have bought, nothing worse than working a 14 hour day and coming home to clean out the cooler of leaked blue ice.
