Johnson & Johnson Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Radiant Night Cream, 1.7 oz

I cannot find the purple Aveeno Absolutely ageless restorative night cream anywhere. Been using for years and my skin loved it. This positively radiant night cream is very harsh and has caused drying and redness. I generally like Aveeno products. Totally bummed.

I bought this a few days ago since I needed a strong overnight moisturizer for my dry, sun exposed (not burned) skin. As soon as the cream touches my face it starts to burn and my cheeks turn bright red. I didn't read the reviews before purchasing unfortunately—this seems to be a recurring issue. If you have sensitive skin, avoid this product.

This moisturizer was terrible, it made me break out and made my skin feel a very strong burning sensation! I tried to continue using it but my face, specially the chin and neck area were very red and itchy! I used it for two weeks and it never got better, my face continued to sting for as long as I wore it.

I don't consider myself to have sensitive skin, but when I first tried this it stung. When I woke up in the morning my face was red and burning! The redness has lasted all day and has made my skin very irritated. I have never reacted this way before and am truly surprised this happened with Aveeno, which I thought had gentler formulas. I just want to know what ingredient is the culprit so I can avoid it in the future.

Hello y'all I am 42, I have late onset eczema, but am able to maintain a facial routine using day moisturizer with 15SPF, 15% serum and a 5% retinol product that I use at night to fight skin aging. I picked up Aveeno off the shelf because I noticed it has hyaluronic acid, which helps with skin renewal. That's because even if I'm afraid to try any product on my skin, I'm also interested in getting rid of some sun spots on my cheeks and getting back my skin glow. Could it be that many of you might be applying too much product on your skin and NOT avoiding the eye area? This is not meant to be slathered on. I washed my face and applied a thin coat of this, avoiding the eye and mouth area. So far so good - i feel a very mild tingly feeling, and we shall see.
