Cantu Natural Hair Styling Gel Stay Extreme Hold Tube, 8 oz

not sure why this doesn't work for some. Must just be due to different techniques and different hair textures, etc. I have wavy 2B/2C hair and only use this gel on soaking wet hair in the shower (also use Cantu avocado curl cream), and this gel works perfectly for me. I get no flaking, have lasting hold for days, and it's non drying. :)

My hair type is wavy but then there's times where I wake up with straight hair or times where I wake up with curly hair. My baby hairs always curl up if I don't put them down but the rest of my hair is up to itself I guess lol. This product is amazing. I'm a sucker for braids. When I apply this to create my braids and take them out the next day or two, boy does it leave my hair like a beautiful curled beauty. It maintains its texture plus it gives you hair this soft consistency that'll leave you speechless. I love it.

I love this I've used this in my hair many times after I get out of the shower I put it in while it's still damp and my hair when I wake up the next morning has the best most natural curl in it! It was my daughter's at first and I stole it from her and now I've been using it ever since going on six years now! Buy a great deal

My daughter has super curly hair (courtesy of her Puerto Rican genes from her father) so I try to use products that will hold the best for her hair type. We really like the Cantu line of other products and this one works for us as well. It's not an extreme hold, but it does keep her curls in place for the school day, so it's works just enough for us. I will say that it doesn't keep her hair from being frizzy by the end of the school day, but we use hair oil for that. We also use the humidity hold and not extreme, so there's that, lol.

I've seen a lot of bad reviews for this gel, and so I'm thinking everyone hair maybe reacts differently with it. The gel can leave a flakey residue if cake on and left to dry on skin, but I didnt have that issue much worth laying my edges, more so after it dried on my hands. I brushed a bit throughout my curls and it kept my hair from frizzing, and left a shiny smooth texture to it, without the crunchy gel consistency most mega holds leave behind. I for one with buy again.
