It hasn't leaked and doesn't seem to let much air escape either the magnetic closure. About as secure as a dog door can be. It does make some noise when the flap slaps shut.

The magnetic bottom keeps the flap from blowing around, it does however make it difficult for smaller pets to use. I also found the cover a bit hard to use. Installation was easy and it looks nice.

One of my main concerns was other animals—like squirrels, raccoons, or possums—getting in from the yard. Thankfully, the door includes a slide-in panel that adds a layer of security. Durability was something I was originally worried about, as I've never had a doggie door before and didn't know how long it'd last with my pup (with chewing/constant running in and out - BUT so far, it's doing amazing! So super durable! We've had a few storms come through, and I haven't seen any weather damage or leakage. At night, when it's time to stay inside, there is a snap-on cover that stops animals from coming in/going out. Which is also a plus! Overall, it's a solid pet door and can accommodate xl breeds, and up to 2in thick doors. 10 out of 10!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this pet door is exactly what I needed for our garage door to let both of our medium to large size rescue dog and our small dog in and out from outside into the house with ease it provides a perfect seal around the flap and so far, I haven't noticed much temperature change From outside coming into the garage our dogs love it and will continue to get use out of it for many years!
