Thyme & Table Food Safe Heat Resistant Silicone Ladle, Blue

This ladle is super cool. It’s heavy duty and made of quality material. It’s made with a good safe silicone and is dishwasher safe and heat resistant. I love the tealish color. It also takes 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 cup measurements which is cool for measuring what you’re dipping out for serving size or even measuring what you’re putting in your soup, stew, or other meal.

The Thyme & Table Silicone Ladle is an appealing, modern teal color. The ladle itself is substantial in size. The size is perfect for large pots of stews and soups. I was unsure of this ladle being silicone since I had not yet tried cooking utensils made of this material. I was worried the food would stick to it or it wouldn't wash well. Both of my worries were wrong. In fact, it washes really well and functions well with thick sticky soups. An added bonus is that it is comfortable to use since the silicone is soft on hands. The ladle has some nice features such as being deep for a one cup scoop, lines for measuring different cups, and slight curves on each side for easy directed pouring of liquids. If I had to choose a few things I didn’t like about this ladle it is that it does not fit in my kitchen drawer. I do have older kitchen drawers so this may not be an issue for newer kitchens. It can, however, be hung up on a hook as it has a hole at the top of the handle for doing so. Also, the handle is a good length but for a one cup scoop it seems like the handle should be a tad longer to me so it can make it to the bottom of large soup pots without losing too much handle in the process.

I really like this ladle with the measurements labeled inside so that you know exactly how much liquid you are ladling out. It is heat resistant up to 428 degrees and gentle to all cookware and bakeware. I like that it is lightweight and top rack dishwasher safe.

This is an upscale ladle. Great upgrade. It would be a good gift for someone, too. Pair it with a premade soup and a bow! This is the kind of thing someone may not purchase for themselves but would appreciate. The color is also a beautiful shade of teal. It looks great in my kitchen. The ladle is also a measuring cup. There are markers for ¼ cup, ½ cup, and ¾ cup - with the full cup being 1 cup. This is a neat feature that I appreciate as well. I used this when prepping lunches for the week. The silicone protects my pots and makes for a comfortable grip. The ladle is sturdy and quite hefty for a ladle. This is nice because the cup is not going to try and float in my soup. It stays down. I do not know the internal material, but it is strong. Part of the cup has some give, but the rest is not going to bend. This could be helpful for a little pot scraping. It has no metal (exposed anyway) that can rust.

This ladle is lightweight enough that it doesn't flip out of the pan (you know what I mean).But it conforms its shape to the side of the pan so you can scoop up a hefty amount of stew, etc. It has a perfect sized scooping bowl for soups and stews, AND it has this softness/ flexibility about it which makes it perfect for really scraping the last of the soup/stew out of the pot without making horrible noises. YET it is sturdy! it is some amazing combination of sturdy and flexible. Silicone is heat resistant, comfortable to hold, and is colorful. This gets the bottom and sides of the pot stirred properly. It is soft and and for me is easier to use than the rigid scoops. Important to start stirring soon for liquids that thicken in the cooking. Love the color. Five stars.
