The scope gives a great view of the Moon, My main problem is with the mount. It will not tighten down, so the scope turns freely. Bottom line, you pay $109, you get a $109 view. Spend a little more..........

Walmart has done it for me. A good reflective telescope that works and is easy to use. The telescope had no damage or anything related to that. Walmart had the lowest price for this telescope, which made me glad. The shipping was right on time and tracking the order was accurate. This telescope will amaze you if you're a first-timer.

I purchased this telescope for my 9 year old sister, and as soon as we put is together I realized this could be a little big for her, but she will be able to grow into it. She ris eally excited about, she just has to have an adult help her locate stars, or the moon at first, and then she is fine on he own. I would recommend this for an older crowd.

After reading many reviews on many different brands and types of telescopes i decided on this one. The up front value on price and my preference for reflector telescopes made this an easy choice for an introductory telescope. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get their feet wet in astronomy. My only concern was the quality of the EQ mount, because with mine if I needed to go up in elevation to center on an object, i ended up having to go much higher than needed so when i let tightened the mount it would drop down on what i was looking at, then just fine tune from that point. Nothing major but would of been nice to center it and tighten and not constantly compensate for the slack in the EQ mount. This scope really does the moon justice for detail, and on a clear night Jupiter's cloud strands can be seen. I would recommend a 2x Barlow lens and filter set to really get the most this scope has to offer.

For what you are paying, you get a good deal. Just so you know, the eyepieces that come with the scope are really not that good. You will find yourself shopping around for better eyepieces (some that are the same price as the scope itself YIKES). However, for a beginner telescope this is well worth the value.
