The speaker stands were exactly what was stated and perfect for my situation. Hook-up time was fifteen minutes because the instructions were precise and to the point. They are durable and do their job well. If you can't mount your speakers on the wall, these are the solution for you.

I used the stands for the rear speakers of a Sony home theatre system I purchased. The assembly was very easy and the material was sturdy enough for the small rear speakers I have. The stands are not intended for heavy speakers as the height adjustment mechanism doesn't seem reliable (it may give way). Included in the box are some screws that can be used to secure the speakers. It pays to check the back or bottom of speakers before buying any stand.

I just bought these speaker stands two days ago. The knob that adjusts the height of the stand got stuck after trying to adjust it the first day. The next day (today), it just plum broke. The metal that the stands themselves are made out of is heavy and sturdy, but the adjusting handles in the middle are nothing but plastic junk.

I purchased the speaker stands to complete a surround sound system I incorporated into my livingroom media center. Not only were they were small enough not to be noticed, but they were easy to install and of good quality. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for that purpose.

These stands are incredibly sturdy. My philips speakers are not standard size and they do not have easily accessable screw mounts in the back, but I was still able to attach them firmly to the stands. The only draw back was that I couldn't hide the speaker wires within the stands. If your speakers have extra wide unremovable plugs, just be aware that you may have this same problem. Overall though I am very happy with my purchase and may eventually buy more for my front speakers.
