I read all the reviews of this product. Batteries did get a little warm but I've had this with other products, also. I bought this for myself, I love robotic toys--but, my 4 year old grandaughter & my 35 yr old daughter fell in love with it. So, I had to buy a second one for them!!

My little guy loves his panda. It's been very durable to say the least. Tolee, the panda, goes everywhere with my son and has even jumped off the bunk beds a few times, he's very adventurous. He's even tried soda pop. I'm amazed sometimes that he is still able to move and do all that he can. I do recommend keeping the toy on the "try me" mode when he isn't being played with instead of the "normal" mode to save on battery life.

I got 2 WowWee Alive Panda for my grand daughters for Xmas 2008. And the review I've gotten from both girls , was they felt real, and the Pandas did everything that it said it did. Both girls love they Pandas and now there friends want to get one . From myself and granddaughters you've got too thumbs up on this product.,which overall rating is EXCELLENT. This Panda was a lovely surprise for my 3 1/2 year old grand daughter. She loves it! It has become a companion and a responsibility for her. She keeps him with her and even thinks she's supposed to feed him; it's really cute and turned out to be "A lovely surprise" to me. I'd recommend it anytime.

It has been the year of the Panda in our house! My nearly 7yr old saw an ad for this panda and asked to receive it for Christmas-she was thrilled to find it under the tree. The movements and sounds are similar to real panda's and she loves playing with it. Other stores had the panda for $60-$75, so WalMart was a good value at $50. However, iPod shuffle trumped the panda ; )
