Bought this as my Makita power tools were on loan to a friend and I needed a drill to complete some light work at church & home. I was looking for an inexpensive drill to be used temporarily. Ended up buying a corded Rigid drill, which was cheaper. Problems: Batteries took more than 45 minutes to charge and then would discharge to quickly. The clutch would slip even thought I had it set for drilling. The clutch would allow the bits to come loose when being used. Not enough torque. The LED light didn't light up the actual work spot. Overall a real bummer. Taking it back to Lowe's & sticking with Makita,

The smaller size and lighter weight makes this drill ideal for jobs around the house. It has a surprising amount of power for its size. The LED light is a nice feature for working in dark spots, unfortunately the chuck casts a shadow on the spot where the screw needs to be. Perhaps the next version will have the LED light positioned better.

Could use another 50lbs of torq when it gets an update next. Slightly worried about durability being so light there is a lot of plastic. Overall good drill for small job. Seems fine so far with screws 2" or less and self tapping sheet metal screws. Also good with drill bits 1/2"and less. Haven't tried to do anything bigger with it yet.

This is the second Hitachi cordless drill purchased this year. Family members liked it so much I had to buy a second identical one. It is light weight yet durable to fit most applications. It has a quick recharge time. We tend to use this drill over other brands because of it size and weight.

I like the both the drill and impact driver. They are both lightweight and well balanced. So far they both work great! These are replacing a 15 plus year old Makita 9.6 drill that served well. I already like these better and we'll see if they last a long time. I think it is a great value for the money, and got the carrying bag too.
