My old shredder just quit!! No notice, no jam, no warning, no anything except it just quit! It was only 2.5 years old and it had minimal use. I could not believe it since it was an industrial shredder used for businesses and I used it only for home use and my home based business. I went to the same store to purchase another shredder and the tech told me to get the Fellowes since it was built better, had a better warranty, and it was a workhorse. IT TRULY IS A WORKHORSE AND I LOVE THE SHREDDER.

I was a bit skeptical. I have seen too many of these things burn out quickly or just not do the job they say they can. I usually use the industrial one at work at the beginning of every year to shred the prior years paperwork. Well this year I really was not feeling having to drag a huge bag of papers to work with me. So I decided to take plung and buy a personal shredder. I was wary because normally if it's not an industrial it tends to burn out quickly. With that said I decided to purchase this one. It is a great machine. I sat and shredded a years worth of old credit card, utility and other personal papers within 20 minutes. The machine didn't over heat. I ran it straight with no problems whatsoever. The machine seems to be well made, rather sturdy and god willing will work for a very long time. Times are hard and I was a bit iffy about the price but better safe than sorry. Too much instances of identity theft to take a chance.

A great product. Very compact yet very powerful. It does a wonderful job on paper as well as plastic credit cards. It is very smooth in its operations and very quiet. I would recommend it to anyone needing to protect against theft identity. I used to have to bring personal indormation documents from home into work to shred them, cut them up with scissors, or find a place to burn them, all being somewhat of a bother. It usually ended up having a stack of documents in a pile waiting to be destroyed. My new shredder has eliminated all of that. I can now open mail, determine which documents need to be kept and immediately shred those that are not needed that contain personal information.

So far this has been a very good shreadder. Seems to have plenty of power and does not quit running as quick as some others I've had. If there is one thing I would like it's a basket twice the size of the one that comes with the shreadder. It doesn't take long to fill it and the head is pretty heavy so the wife waits for me to get home to empty it which kills a lot of time that could be used shreadding.
