Poulan Pro 20" 50cc 2-Stroke Gas Powered Chain Saw With Carrying

This chainsaw stopped working after only 45 minutes of use. It was the first time starting it up and it also started leaking oil.

bought this for my husband's fathers day. My son used it to cut some trees and really liked it!

A few frustrating initial experiences - they used foam peanuts for packing - old and awkward technology - and the bar cover of the carrying case is too thin and difficult to remove and install - and at first I thought there was no scrench but found it hidden in the handle, they should have said this in the quick start guide. On first startup it ran intermittently but after that it ran fine. I think it just needed a slight breaking-in. Now it runs and starts great and cuts wood like crazy. A really good value chainsaw.

I just bought my first Poulan PRO chain saw. What a nightmare. I will never buy another Poulan or a Husqvarna product since it's the parent company. The worst service I have ever had. I have owned a chainsaw (old Ryobi) for 10 years before this purchase. This new chainsaw ran for 10 minutes and died. The Service Provider given to me by the Poulan Service group charged me 35$ just to tell me it was not a warranty. They claim I did not add the oil mix which is totally inaccurate since the 10 year old Ryobi and another Poulan that were using same gas mix had no issues and ran the whole day. I tried for hours to reach someone at Poulan and could not get anyone to help. They told me to take it up with the local Service provider who is denying the warranty. Guess I am out a brand new 200$ chainsaw and my 35 dollars. Don't buy Poulan! Call their service and see how well their response is and you will be more convinced.

I had 15 years old trees was down by the storm. I ordered this item online and compared the reviews and prices, Walmart has beaten other retailers including Amazon. The only bad thing about this chainsaw that if you over fill the bar oil, it will dripping all over the place. I thought the oil tank was leaking at first. After a few uses, it stop leaking. The overall cutting was good, a few times the chain will stop moving when reaching the thickest part of the tree. You have to ease it up and plunge back in to finish the cut.
