BLACK+DECKER 16” 12 Amp Corded Electric Chainsaw, Tool-Free Chain Tensioning, Auto-Oiling

I have enjoyed this saw with the exception that with just sitting, it leaks oil everywhere. I'm not talking about over filling, it just leaks out everything you put in when it sits.

I have always used Black and Decker products because of the durability and price. I recently got the 12 Amp 16 inch chainsaw for a few of my outdoor projects and I'm so glad I did, I have a huge tree that needed to be trimmed and this chainsaw made it easy with little effort.

Compared to the piece of junk electric chainsaw I used to have this one is awesome. Assembly is a breeze and will only take at most 10 minutes of your time and you don't need to follow any complicated manual to put it together. My previous chainsaw was garbage because the chain kept on coming off but this one I have yet to have the chain fall off and that's even with hours of use. When it comes to tightening the chain it has a dial on the side that makes it very simple to do, which is a good thing because you will have to tighten it from time to time. When it comes to power the chainsaw has enough torque that it could cut through trees without the chain getting stuck like my other chainsaw. All in all this is a great chainsaw for the price and I would recommend this one to anyone.

My gas chainsaw was nothing but trouble. Purchased the Black and Decker 1216 electric chainsaw. Assembly easy, used saw right out of the box on larger logs. 10 to 12 inch. Worked like a charm. Couldn't be happier.

I use the saw for firewood. I have cut a variety of woods including apple, cherry, oak, and mulberry. No problems cutting and not appreciably different than my former gas saw. Big difference than with gas when it comes to noise (so much quieter) and not having to fool around with the gas. Electric is much lighter also which is nice when you are picking it up and putting it down for a few hours at a time.
