Ensure Enlive Advanced Nutrition Shake with 20 grams of High-Quality protein, Meal Replacement Shakes, Milk Chocolate, 8 fl oz, 12 count

My grandfather is a cancer patient who has recently been having trouble swallowing the doctor has recommended he drink these as a meal replacement since eating anything chokes him. Unfortunately they dont know what's causing it and haven't recommended a feeding tube. He's on a fixed income and is finding it hard to keep buying.

I am a 16 year cancer survivor. I have lived on Ensure Plus for 14 of those years. I became unable to swallow and had to have a feeding tube 12 years ago. My insurance company pays most of the cost of my Ensure Plus since I had the feeding tube in place. My usage is currently 6 per day. In a recent hospital stay, I was given the Enlive. I am very active for my age and condition and have been using protein supplements with the Ensure. If the insurance would cover the Enlive instead of the Plus I would prefer it. Do you know if insurance covers the Enlive as it does the Plus?

I love the taste. The added protein and calories are a must for me. My doc prescribed this because I am severely underweight for no significant reason. Unfortunately, my insurance does not cover nutritional supplements. It's a bit pricey, to take prescribed amount of three times a day, but a must have. I absolutely love the chocolate. I'm a 36 year old female. I got extremely sick and was hospitalized and this is all I could eat/drink for 3 months. After I got better this has become part of my daily diet...by choice - I drink 1 of these everyday. I love the Vanilla and the Strawberry. The chocolate not so much. The colder the better. This is how I keep my vitamins and nutrients where they are suppose to be. My Dr said my numbers have never looked better.

The previous review is wrong, there is no high fructose corn syrup. There is simple corn syrup...a big difference. I've used the chocolate and the vanilla and they taste delicious. What I love is that I'm not hungry after drinking one. Having to be on a liquid diet for a week this drink made it easy. I felt healthy and strong and other than a desire to chew something I was satisfied.
