Sorry to take so long replying to your request. This was my Christmas gift to my husband and due to spine surgery just before Christmas he has not been able to open it. He had partial removal of his lower spine and as yet cannot lift or bend and the gift is still sitting unopened downstairs. It is what he wanted and I hope he likes it when he gets to see it!!!!!

Its not bad for the price, overall its decent enough to have a small fire in it daily. Just keep in mind the dimensions of this fireplace before buying it. 24.5 x 25 x 32.5

The bottom grate in NO WAY resembled the photo on the website or the photo on the assembly instructions. It was not the cast-iron vented grate upon which you could build a fire, but rather a stainless steel shelf that looked like it should have been in our kitchen oven. It certainly would NOT withstand even a few modest fires before it was warped beyond further use. The fact that NO assembly hardware was included in the box should have been my first clue that I would be making a trip to my local Walmart to return this item. VERY, VERY, disappointed.
