I choosed this toy for my 5 years old son who loves Batman and the joker, he's a fan of imaginex toys and I wasn't sure if he was gonna love it at those, omg was I wrong!! .. As soon he opened it from the box he immediately started playing with it and also managed to play with some other figures at the same time making this playset very interested for him. The set consist in a train track super easy to build by only locking it manually. Also has a little building or wood pretending processor where the joker is able to transform regular pretending wood logs into blocks which are also included. the train wagons are box shaped for my little one to load little toys and make it more fun. The tracks as well the wagons are made of sturdy material to ensure breaks from little ones that are not that careful with toys yet. Also, my kid tried to used a motorized Tomas train and this toy tracks kind of did the trick for a little bit since it's not compatible 100% with the brand but it actually worked for a few seconds!! So imagine my son's face, priceless! Bottom line of this review is that this toy is great to have for a kid with lots imagination that will also endure for a while. Loved it, as well my son did! .

I was so excited to a Lionel train set for my 2.5 yo nephew since Lionel is a well know name in trains plus it was Batman themed which was even better! The set is very colorful with big pieces and a small oval track which I think is perfect for small children with little hands; not too overwhelming for them. It is made of sturdy heavy duty plastic and can easily be put together and taken apart within seconds. The set includes: Two Engine-, No Power or Sounds, Two Gondola Car, Four Curve Track Pieces, Two 9" Straight Track Pieces, Two 6" Straight Track Pieces, Two 3" Straight Track Pieces, One Saw Mill, Two Log and Two Pallet Load. I highly recommend Lionel's Batman Imagineering Non-Powered Playset for hours of playtime fun.

I got this Lionel Batman Imagineering Non-Powered Train set for my son for his 2nd birthday which was this past Sunday. It does say it is recommended for children aged 3 and up however my son is pretty advanced for his age and he loves cars, trains, trucks and anything with wheels that he can push around so I knew he would love this train set which he does. This is one of his favorite toys now he makes me put it back together every single day since getting it so he can push the trains around the track. The trains are non powered so they do not move by themselves nor do they make noises but for a younger child like my son that is perfectly fine with him as it is more interactive play for him. There is 2 mini trains included a Batman one and a Joker one. The trains each consist of 2 pieces which easily connect together and the trains maneuver easily around the track even around the corners they do not come off the track ect. There is 10 track pieces of various sizes which easily connect/snap together and easily come apart as well. Also included with the set is a Joker saw mill which provides interactive play as there is a couple different things the saw mill does and 2 palette brick pieces. My son can spend a good 2 hours playing with this train set and he is thoroughly entertained the entire time so I am certain any younger child will get many hours of enjoyment and play out of this set. The set is well built and durable as well so I am certain it will last for many years to come. Lionel trains has been around for a long time and they are well known for their train sets which are always quality made and built to last. We actually have one that is electric which we pull out during the holidays that is why I wanted to get my son this set as he loves watching our big train set as the train moves around the track however we put it up high so he can not get to it for fear of him breaking it so I wanted to find him a set of his own he could play with that was age appropriate and I think this set is just perfect for him. I love this set and so does my son it is the perfect starter train set for younger children.

I received this toy from a review company free of charge, the opinions expressed here are based on my own personal experiences with this product and are in no way influenced by the manufacturer or the retailer. I got this for my four year old son. He played with it only for a few minutes, it was not very entertaining to him. The track is not easy for little ones to assemble, which is a downfall to this toy because that is half the fun for kids to make the track in different ways. The cars connect together by lifting on up and sliding a piece into the other, the connection is very loose so if the trains are picked up at all they will NOT stay connected. The trains would be better if there was a snug connection on them. They stay on track fairly well when pushing around. It has a section that you put plastic logs in and slide into another part and a wooden square with a car picture comes out and then you lift a piece to make it fall into the trailer on the train. This was fairly easy for him to do but again it would have been better if they would have made it shaped like a car or anything other than a square. He only played with this for a few minutes and lost interest. We have it for almost 2 weeks and he has not wanted to play with it again. I don't know what it retails for but I would recommend a different toy if you want it to get played with.

The Lionel's Batman Imagineering non-powered train set is easy to put together and will be a great Christmas gift for my 18 month old. The train track comes as separate pieces that just pop into each other. Each straight piece fits with a curved piece and vice versa until an oblong track is made. They are easy to break apart for storage as well. This playset comes with two engines and two carts. One set is batman themed and the other is joker themed. They seem to be made of durable material. The only thing I don't like with each set is the connection from engine to cart is solely by them sliding together, so if you pick the engine up the cart would fall off. The only way they will stay attached is on the track or a smooth surface. The saw mill that comes with this playset is really cute. I had to read the directions to figure it out and it was mainly pictures that were hard to make out. I took a picture (as shown) of an up close view of where you place the red log and pallet load (small box with a picture of a car on it) in order to make the saw mill work. As you can see the red log is on your right sitting on a purple lever and the pallet load is sitting inside the top purple box. Once the red log is on the purple lever you just push the purple lever in towards the middle and the pallet load on the top is released down and pushed out the other side onto the green stand. The log is then inside the front purple box on the bottom. It is a neat little process that I think any child would enjoy! Overall I think my child and any small child would get a lot of use playing with this train set. It has vibrant colors and they can use their imaginations to play. There is no sound and power, but sometimes that's nice so they can use their imagination and make up their own sounds. I am excited to surprise my toddler with this on Christmas!
