I have suffered with the sun on my desk for a few years and finally purchased this beauty! I love that it isn't ornate and regardless of the umbrella color, it compliments the deck. It has substantial weight but not enough that it can not be lifted. I also purchased umbrella from Hayneedle and ensured it would fit perfectly. I am very pleased with this umbrella base. Do not hesitate to purchase.
I've only had this for about a week. It is heavy and feels sturdy. It was easy to put together, just 2 pieces and holds our umbrella firmly. I also really like the bronze look. Arrived MUCH quicker than the estimated delivery!
Knob part arrived broken. Other than that, it is a nice umbrella stand. Not able to contact shipper (Cymax.com). Too heavy to send back. Lesson learned. It's useable.
Received damaged. Box was not damaged but upon opening and removing styrofoam a big chunk was broken off. Easy to return/exchange but waiting on new so we'll see if new one arrives in one piece.
The base looks just like in the picture. The only draw back for me is the connection piece to the umbrella is plastic. Hopefully it will do it's job. Other than that I like it. Bought recently, so not sure how it will hold up with the elements.
