Playtex Diaper Genie Ii Elite Pail

I received this product as a baby shower gift from one of my best friends. I've never really heard of this until she got it or understood the purpose for having this. I honestly thought it was a waste of money but I have to say that I have consistantly used this pail and I love it! My daughter is now 3 weeks old and for any breast feeding mom you can agree that your kid will have the most poopy diapers ever! Initially, I did not use the diaper genie. I would just throw the diapers in the trash until my daugther's poopy diapers started having a smell and we learned how many diapers we go through in a day. My husband asked me why haven't I used the diaper genie, so i started to use it and its amazing. If you set up the genie properly you will have no problems with it lining up or latching on the way it should. My genie operates just fine and we smell nothing compare to just throwing it in the trash we would be running through trash bags having to constantly through dem out even when its not filled cause its unsanitary. I would say this genie holds about 30 (newborn diapers) per each changing. The refill is 1 large plastic bag so once it fills up you will know you need to change it by opening the genie, cutting the bag and tie a knot at the bottom of the bag. You will do that until that 1 large bag has run out. So far Ive done this 3 times and Im still on my 1 refill. I will say the refill bags are expensive which is unfortunate but its all in all a great product.

This is truly the most disappointing product I have purchased in years. I was sure after reading so many great reviews that it would be for me what it was for the women who wrote about it. The smell is my problem, just wanted a product that would do what it said, get rid of diaper odor. This didnt come close. This is another wated piece of plastic, do not I repeat do not bother with this purchase. I am moving on to a different pail to see what might work.

Just bought this and it says it comes with a refill pack well that was not in the box and when my husband hooked the top and bottom together they did not line up, very frustrating! We will be returning it in the morning.

it works no smelling room. i love this is right beside my daughters changing table you just stick it in there and i put the dirty wipes in there to. and when it gets full just open it tie it in a knot and you are done. i love it. dont have to worry about no stinky or messy diapers.

Before my grand daughter arrived, I spent a whole day researching products. I was reading the reviews & decided on this diaper pail & the foot pedal is an awesome feature too. My daughter & grand daughter live at home with us. This pail is easy to move around, doesn't smell & the way you just cut the bag, tie it off & pull down more is awesome. We have tried the generic refill bags & they work but are not as nice. They come in single bags & you have to take one out, put another in & insert the plastic ring back into the top of the pail to hold the bag in place. I would recommend this product to anyone but one suggestion is to when you change bags spray the inside of the pail with Lysol.
