Google Chromecast (2nd Generation) HD Media Streamer - Black - Restored

Took forever to get it and when I brought it home it's broken right out of the box. Horrible product horrible company to deal with.

It's a fake screen mirror device that comes in a damaged google box. I ask for a refund and all I got was an apology.

Sorry but how is Walmart selling FAKE chrome casts? My box was damaged , the cast is fake. It's a mirroring screen , instructions are in Chinese

I plugged Chromecast into my smart TV, which is considered too old for Amazon Prime to continue to support, and voila...Amazon is mirrored on my TV via my lap top. I also use it in my livingroom on the big screen TV, which no longer supports Youtube and voila Youtube again via my laptop or smartphone! I originally got the chromecast for the free movies that Google Play sent me because I wanted to see them on the big screen and not my phone. That worked too. I have lightening speed internet so I am sure that helps for streaming movies and you do need to use Google chrome instead of internet explorer for it to all work. I am over 50 and not extremely technology savvy so I was very happy I could get all that I wanted without it being overly technical!!

BEWARE! This device won't allow (as of 01/2017) streaming through mobile data, only WiFi - it doesn't matter what WiFi network your mobile is connected to, doesn't even have to be the same network as the device's, as long as it is a WiFi network and NOT mobile data; unless you own a 3rd device (ie. another mobile phone) you can employ as "bridge" between your mobile's hotspot and the Chromecast itself, if you live in a remote place with no stable "cable" internet connection, this device is NOT for you!
