Greenworks 18" Corded Electric 12 Amp Push Lawn Mower 25012

I don't have a controlled environment to keep this lawnmower from high humity and water. The protection plan wouldn't cover it. I would have to carry it into my house up stairs after every use. Manufacturer should have that information readily available to customers since it is an electrical lawnmower.

I didn't want a gas-powered lawn mower because I don't like having gasoline around these cardboard homes that are built in the US. Neither did I want a battery-powered one because I know that batteries last for 20 minutes, and then you have to wait for 2 hours for them to recharge. So I went for the electric one. For some people, it is cumbersome to have to deal with and be mindful of a long extension cord, but not me. Assembly was pretty easy, and I put it to work right out of the box. This mower has lots of power, it's quieter than gas-powered mowers, and gives you the option to mulch or not the clippings, which I find very convenient. So 1 for 1 as of today. Seems sturdy, but not heavy at all. Time will tell how long it will last.

assembly was a breeze. like how the mow height for all wheels is controlled by one easy-to-use lever. cut is consistent, even in thicker and taller grass. fairly lightweight and easy to maneuver. relatively quiet when operating. overall impressed and recommend for small to medium areas.

Overall I really like this mower. Keep in mind it requires a cord. Due to the power it takes I needed a heavy duty extension that was 100ft long, so that adds to the initial cost. I have to mow so that the cord stays to one side, so it isn't for everyone. I like not having to make a gas run and how easy this is to start. If my grass is long it takes way more effort to get the mower through the grass, but if i keep up on it the light mower isn't super heavy or difficult to operate. It does miss a blade or two of grass as it cuts. The power level seems to be good for my yard. It keeps a consistent height when it cuts.

I should have bought this years ago. I've been so tired of the stink of our 4-stroke gas mower. Full disclosure: I did buy the SKIL 20 volt mower from Walmart because I already had two 4 amp hour batteries. The mower also comes with two 4 amp hour batteries. I offer this as a lesson to you: If you buy any cordless tool in person from Walmart open the box before you leave the store. I brought the cordless mower home and SOMEONE had taken out the 2 batteries and just left the box they came in inside the main box. When I brought the mower back to Walmart they did not even check the box to see if I was being truthfull or ask any questions......as though it was a common occurance. Back to the Greenworks mower, it has a steel deck. Reviews from people buying a mower with a plastic deck complain about cracks and breaking. If you look close at the Greenworks wheels, they look more reinforced than other low-priced mowers. If you are like me you may be thinking that the mower is narrower than your gas mower and will take longer to mow. POPPYCOCK....Not only is there no stink but it is so much lighter. Also regarding cordless mowers: if you get an off-brand, the battery life is a crapshoot and the company can change battery style at any time and you will be stuck not being able to get new batteries. From what I've researched 3 years is a good run for cheap cordless batteries. You will likely need a new cord so check the instructions for the length and gauge. Ask someone if you are not sure on this. Harborfreight had the best price for me. Good Mowing.
