I wish I had found this 20 years ago! My house is surrounded by large trees, mainly oaks, which hold their leaves longer than most other trees. So dealing with leaves goes on well into the winter months, with final clean up in the spring. But this spring, clean up was different--I had found the Sun Joe shredder. It made short work of piles and piles of leaves. It was easy to assemble, easy to operate, and worked efficiently. The best part was the beautiful end product which I used to mulch my planting beds. What a bonus! It comes with replacement string, but I ordered an extra package just to have on hand. I've had no trouble replacing worn string. I use a needle nose pliers to help me grab the string and pull it out, but that is only because my 72 year old hands are not all that strong. The adjustable legs are also a great feature. I was able to set it up on a slope and keep it level and stable. I've used it with both wet and dry leaves, including small twigs, and it handles it all with ease. I watch for larger branch pieces as I am loading the hopper and toss them out. If I happen to miss one, and hear the clunking in the shredder, I just shut it off and pull out the piece. No problem. The controls are simple and easily accessible. Count me in as a big fan of this product! Looking forward to using it again in the fall.

The Sun Joe worked even better than I expected. I have a lot oak trees and the leaves often have thick stems or twigs attached. After reading a number of reviews of this product, I wasn't sure how effective it would be at handling these leaves but I decided to give it a try. I was very pleased with the way it tackled these stems and twigs and they were wet to boot. It appeared to me that the degree of reduction was even more than 16:1. I couldn't have asked for more.

This product is very good. Inexpensive; easy to assemble; effective; good design. The shredding cords will break off if leaves contain a number of even small sticks. They are easy to replace and extras come with the original purpose. Hearing protection is necessary. Dust and particulate mask advisable. Easy breakdown for efficient storage. Good value for the price.

I have used my Sun Joe electric leaf blower a number of times now and love it. The mulch I have put in my garden and will continue to do so this fall. Instead of going to the city dump this is the best garden related environmental decision I have made. I love my Sun Joe Electric Leaf Blower.

This product is easy to use and easy to assemble. Only thing I wish for an improvement is that the legs were longer to support a bag to its full capacity vs being low and the bag will fold over onto itself causing to premature filling or false indication that it is full. I am grateful to make this purchase. It has save me money and time using less time to bag leaves, the efficiency of the shredder I find myself using less bags.
