Sunbeam Cool Mist Humidifier

This unit got the humidity level up where I needed it in one night! It is used in the bedroom, but the sound is just white noise (I no longer have the 'white noise' machine on in the winter) and sleep like a log! Sinus problem is gone! Great unit at a great price! Easy to use. Easy to refill. Doesn't spill at all. Uses less than one tank of water per day on high!

The unit works okay, and the noise isn't intolerable. I think of it as a free 'white noise' feature! It does well to humidify a 10'x15' room, but when the filter wears out it is next to impossible to find a replacement. Don't bother trying Walmart... I went to the store today and NONE of their filters matched any of the humidifiers they had for sale, including this one. I was in a bind, so I had to buy the one $7.00 filter they had in stock, cut it apart and re-attached it, then realized it needed to be trimmed to height as well. It worked, but it would have been less aggravation to buy a brand new humidifier... this unit only cost $13 instead of the $25 listed online. They did, however, carry several much nicer units in stock for $25. My recommendation - it's a steal, but only if you can find the filters first. Stockpile them, because they are not easy to locate without paying an arm & a leg in shipping and handling off a specialty website.

This is a cheap humidifier, and cheap it is. The water tank certainly will not last 18 hours even on the lowest setting. Maybe half that. The description says good for 2 rooms but definitly not in our case. I haven't noticed any great difference to the moisture in the air with this machine. But, we also keep it on the lowest setting because otherwise it's too loud. It has 2 settings (high/low type) and the high setting is way too loud to use. I don't really like the filter concept because it molds really fast when the humidifier is not in use (which we only use ours at night) and it costs around $10 everytime you need to replace it. Shopping for a new one now and willing to spend more to get one that does what I need it to. Just wish I had an old school one from the 80s.

For a $25 humidifier it works great! The fan noise actually helps, I work 3rd shift and the neighbor's annoying dogs don't wake me up anymore! I love it!

Other than it being extremely loud it did not work properly! We could only use it on the highest setting because it would shut off when we put it on the low one. I am definitely returning it, and would not recommend this humidifier to anyone!
