Honeywell Easy-To-Care Cool Mist Humidifier HUT-200-WMT, White

5 years ago we had a older Honeywell product that we loved when we lived in the Midwest. When we moved to the desert we didn't realize how hard the water was at first and the unit was producing white dust. We thought it was bad after changing filters and cleaning and so we threw it away. Little did we know we needed filtered water... I have been batteling my very dry skin since we moved out here and decided to get another Honeywell. This is a more updated version to what we had and loved. We picked up the black version on clearance at the season change. I love this thing. Also it's nice to not have to lug this around full of water. I get a pitcher of water and take that upstairs to the bedroom where it is and pour the water. Easy. I take the pitcher down in the morning so I can refill that night. No drips or spills to worry about. We leave it on high overnight and it doesn't run out of water. The output is amazing. The constant water flow is a added bonus. I didn't realize it was going to sound like a little trickle or small fountain like sound. It actually helps me sleep better than my fan for white noise. It doesn't bother my husband on the other side of the bed. There is a humming from the pump but it's not annoying. If you have a small fish tank it sounds the same. There is a dull blue light for the water tank. I like that you can see how much is left if you wake of the night. The light is very dull compared to our old unit. I do wish it was a little brighter but it's personal preference and doesn't effect the unit itself. Overall I'm very happy. I think I will pick up a couple more for my kids and their dry skin they suffer from as well.

I purchased as have sinus problems in winter room very dry. Worked great for about 30 days now so noisy can't sleep have cleaned changed parts have gone from $50.. Plus to $75 plus and is not worth the money.Going to take back today will they take it ????

Purchased this unit for my mother12/12/2011. The unit ran well for only one year. Was always careful to clean unit as recommended and replaced the demineralization cartridges on a timely basis. Took the unit out this year no mist! Motor has died and the unit is now rendered useless. Based on my experience I would not recommend this unit for those needing humidity in their home for the winter months as we have in the northeast. Springfiled, Ma.

I must have owned 8 - 10 of these Honeywell ultrasonic humidifiers. ALL of them broke down either right out of the box, after a couple of weeks use or, at best, after several month's use.

Love this product except that it's loud. It is easy to fill, day or night. It's easy to take apart and clean plus the night late is a bonus. I've tried trouble shooting but the motor is just too loud. I even have to turn it off because of the nose & I'm VERY heard of hearing.
