Broan Vertical Discharge Exhaust Ventilation Fan in White

I bought this to replace an existing unit that went out after eight years of use. The new unit wasn't much more that a replacement motor & blade so I figured I'd just replace the whole thing. I am now sorry I did so. The new unit seems to have gone down in metal quality/thinner material and I cannot keep the blades aligned with the new unit. You practically breath on it and the fan blade starts rubbing on the sides. Unfortunately I already threw out the old housing and got a headache on my hands. Brian seems to have gone downhill.

It's not as loud as the one it replaced, yet is very powerful. But it's not perfectly round, so when I tested it, the fan didn't turn until I bent the body by hand. The fan blades touched the sides until I did that. Other than that, it seems very well made.

We just put the fan in our bathroom. It's a power house. You can feel the air being sucked out. However it's deafening loud. It is louder than my electric beard trimmer. Is there any way to Quiet it down?

I had to return item but that was my fault (mis-measured) but it was a great price and arrived in time and in great condition.
