Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 - Win

I have nothing against steam or their intent to protect their games against piracy. But this product will not allow you to install the game from the disc in the box, instead you have to go through a lenghthy download from their slow website using the steam interface. It took me close to 5 hours to download and patch the game. I own other steam products that don't behave in this form, you install them with your disc and then download the patches and register them on the steam web page. But this game was ridiculous. after all the time invested in the instalation, i tried to play it but i keep having errors related to the Steam appp. running in the background locking up my computer. As it was the game is unplayable in my computer if I don't turn off every security measure on it. I'm sorry but that is not an option.

This game has great response around navigation in first person, better then previous version that did require specific graphic drivers to run at best results or you would notice lag in movement (delay). There is one catch for new installs, when you first install it you may get a lot of your font that will look like your web ding (funky/foreign) font. I updated my graphics driver and it corrected the issue. (Sys Specs 3 gb ram (ddr2) INTEL 3.6 Hyper thread processor, ATI x1300 512mb graphics card.

This is one of my first PC game purchases. Didn't realize the controls are keyboard only. I even got a configurable Logitech F710 and it doesn't work with the game. It seems like too much research has to be put into if a game works with a controller or not. I purchased another game that says it worked with a controller...but it didn't list any particular type. After getting it home I find it works with most controllers but not the Logitech one that I have! VERY FRUSTRATING!

Bought for son after hearing him talk about it NON Stop and was surprised when after 7 hours of play he looks at me totally frustrated. He was finished at the veteran level and really HOT about it. If he was allowed to speak his mind I am sure it would have been filled with every expletive possible. Clearly not worth the "hype" or the nearly $60

I'm really loving Modern Warfare 2. I had pretty high expectations and overall I have not been let down. The single player campaign is pretty short, but very diverse and interesting. The spec ops mode is very cool, especially if you have a second person to play with. The multiplayer is really where the game shines. FPS pros will have fun dominating but even those who are bad at the game will feel like they are contributing to the team which is really nice. I wouldn't say that this is the best game ever, but it is very solid. While the PC version wasn't quite what people expected, it still turned out very well. The experience is a good one even if it didn't give everyone what they wanted. I think anyone who gets this game will still really enjoy it.
