Very nice kit. Everything you need to get started. Far better than the rail systems you find at the big box stores. I like the look and the metal brackets snap in place and are tightly held in the plastic cross rail. They won't fall out when you lift a tool.

Using to hold the shelf units, work ok but are more difficult to mount and get spacing correct than you would expect. Also have slight bending away from wall at ends due to weight of shelf unit - this is about 7 inches from the closest wall anchor, since you have to mount in studs.

I love the functionality of the hardware hooks staying put in the place that you put them and not being able to slide back and forth inadvertently when removing or placing tools or equipment on the hooks. All hardware hooks clamp over the gear track and snap in the exact place that you put them. I love the durability and capacity of this system. Now for the reason for deducting a STAR from the rating. I know each customer has a wide variety uses for this system but it would still be better to offer a few other hook accessories in the kit instead of the bear minimum. All pieces were very well packed to avoid damage during shipping but I found the wall gear track had been chipped out pieces the size of half of quarter coin where the nylon banding strap was. It appeared that it may have happened during the process of band strapping the two gear tracks together. Luckily it was on the back side of each piece so it was in a inconspicuous location against the wall.

Make sure you're familiar with linear footage when you are purchasing these. You need that dimension times 3 for you need 3 rows of them to hang the cabinets. The 4' length is a challenge as they end up being just short of the next stud. They require you to begin and end installation of these on wall studs. You want to purchase 6 extra tracks and custom fit these, so they install that way, be my guest. If your walls are not perfectly flat, installing them in this manor may make the cabinets very difficult to hang. At the end of the day these tracks have plenty of screws in them. Oh, and don't forget that 18" spacing and that they are straight as an arrow.

These instantly made our garage look much more put together. Our rakes, shovels, etc were originally just leaning against the walls. Now with them up and organized it's looking great. We also got the matching screw color, and it's practically unnoticeable. I'm very impressed by the quality of this product. It is pricey, but I know this will last the lifetime of our home. We plan to purchase more to continue around the garage in other areas.
