racks have too many closely spaced posts--i have cut every other one and epoxied the stubs to prevent corrosion but not everyone would w ant to do this ---the 3/4 inch spacing is only good for saucers and will not accept cereal bowls--I would buy the machine again and my son has just bought one since it does a great job of cleaning--just could use better racks

We had problems getting the parts, described on the packing crate, as being necessary for installation. After some searching we eventually found a web site advertising a kit specifically for Bosch. Perhaps Bosch could include some or all of these with the machine, particularly the 90 degree elbow and the intake hose. Alternatively, Bosch could recommend a reliable supplier.

We have a family of 6 including 4 teenage (& older) boys. Our kitchen takes a lot of use and abuse. In other words, we can all be hard on our appliances. The Bosch dishwasher is quiet and gets most everything clean about 98% of the time. We have found the occassional pots or pans need a hand scrub but the detergent can make the difference. We switched to the recommended dishwasher detergent and it works beautifully.

Bought this two months ago, wish I had chosen differently. Pros: Quiet, looks nice, easy to use; adjustable racks Cons: Smells like rotten cabbage even after running cycles; dried-on food not always cleaned off; wine glasses awkwardly fit against holder; mildew appears at bottom inside; some glassware has mold/mildew inside after wash cycle

I bought this unit to replace my 10 year old Bosch dishwasher which was excellent. This unit is awkward to load, the silverware holder is fixed on the wrong side for me and worst of all, it does not dry the dishes well! I followed the suggested loading pattern. My hot water supply is 140 degrees. I have tried all the cycles with the Sanitizer feature on and the dishes are not completely dry as they were in my older unit. Without the Sanitizer, the dishes come out wet. I think the design was compromised to meet the low energy standards. The control panel and the inside compartment was all stainless steel in my older unit. This unit uses plastic partially. The best feature of this unit is the low noise level. I am sorry I selected this unit.
