This dinosaur is fun with the noises and light up eyes. But otherwise the construction looks pretty poor compared to other dinosaur toys we have. If it weren't for the roaring and lights, I'd say pass it up, but those features make it more fun for the kids.
My kid is 3 years old. And he don't have any kind of dinosaur toys. When he saw this Velociraptor for the first time, he started screaming loud with joy. He likes the color and its sound. Its really a attractive color. For few days he took that one with him where ever he goes, even for the bed. Only his concern is, it doesn't stand. Whenever he tries to make it stand, it falls off. Then he will start to cry, asking me to make it stand. Otherwise its a great thing to play with.
I recieved the Adventure Force Mini Mighty Megasaur to test. First with the basics on what it does. The arms, legs and fins move, the eyes light up yellow, and it roars when one arm is pulled. The dinosaur is small being a total length of 7 inches and about 4 to 6 inches tall depending on what stance you have it in. Now while the arms, legs, and fins do move, they have a very limited range of motion and one fin is much looser than the other. The eyes lighting up are cool. The roar is a little lack luster, as it is only one sound and after repetitive loose, the kid looses a little interest. It would have been cooler in the fins would have flapped when it roared and if it had a couple roars. It is fine for a younger kid who is just going to "walk" it around on everything as they do with most toys, but an older child who expects a little more of it gets board after playing with it only a little while. Kind of cool, but could be cooler and a little more fun with some fixes.
Overall my nephew enjoyed it and he loves that it's blue he associates it with blue raptor from jurrassic world . He says he loves the roar and the fact the eyes glow very bright even in the dark. It has a good loud roar and sounds awesome . He says it is good to hold and it's not too hard. He can play for many hours along with his other dinosaurs and blue just fits right in. He says it should come in other colors though but besides this he was very very happy to test it out. He continues to play with this raptor and says he's ready for a T-Rex lol. He's happy and personally I think it's perfect for his age group. He is 6 years old.
My grandson was the tester of the mighty megasaur spinosaurus purple green. He normally plays with cars but after he found out he could make it make noise that was it. He was running and chasing who he could to try and scare them. So a thumbs up I would say
