AliveCor - KardiaMobile 6L Personal EKG Monitor - Black

I purchased the 6L thinking it would replace my older single function-model (8+ years) that I have attached to the back of my iPhone and realized that the shape of the 6L was not configured to allow me to continue to carrying it in a similar fashion. Therefore, I returned the 6L and am continuing to rely on my earlier single-function device.

After my mitral valve replacement, Atriclip, and Cox Maze procedure, my cardiologist agreed that having a Kardia Mobile device was a good idea. I not only keep track of my own heart health, but I can also allow my friends to check theirs. A few weeks ago I gave my Kardia Mobile to a friend who we discovered was having A-fib, and bought myself another one. He has since received the treatment he needed.

I just love this little device! I'm a doctor (not a cardiologist) and the fact that I can check on my own heart rhythm without getting a formal EKG is a game changer! Being a physician, I can get by without the cardio interpretation service. But for anyone who is not in the healthcare field and can't interpret an EKG tracing, I definitely recommend adding that service to your device.

I have both, however there is no significant difference between each one. It was hoped that it would give more insight into my afib. I found the results had more lines but the outcome was not any better than the basic one. Save money, buy the basic model.

The device itself is very good and work as designed. The app and the Kardia care and insight are not very good. It has not detected pvc's, that were detected using ecg at the doctors office, did not detect arithmia. Detected bradycardia numerous times but I am an elite triathlete so my normal pulse is 40 to 45 at rest. Insight directed me to exercise more and have a better diet but does not take into consideration my current training habits and proper diet
