According to Amazfit website, the Band 5 battery life is 15 days (assuming 30 minutes for automatically heart rate detection, 100 notifications, 30 wrist lifts, and 5 minutes of other operations every day. 30 minutes of running every three days). I had to return my first one because it wouldn't hold a charge - after 2 hours it was down to 85%. It took (as noted on the website two days) for someone to get back to me via email. I tried calling without any success. It was no problem to request a replacement but they would/could only send a digital copy of the return postage label. It took me a bit to figure out a way to get it printed since I don't have a printer (a common issue for customers I imagine where so much can be done digitally without needing to print). Once I was able to get the itemed shipped (returned). It was pretty quick for a new one to be sent out to me. But already, I'm noticing the battery doesn't hold a long of charge as advertised. After a night's sleep (approx. wearing it for 10 hours) the band was already down to 85%. Better than the first band 5 sent me - but still not great. At this rate I don't see how a battery charge can last 15 days based on use they describe. I'm interested to see how long, overall this band/watch lasts. I switched from Fitbit because I was annoyed that their watches only lasted about 18 months before giving out completely. I might have to switch back to Fitbit because at least with their trackers I can get at least a week's worth of use on a charge.
I really like my Amazfit 5 band. It is giving the feedback I need for my heart rate. However, now that it over a year old, it needs to be charged twice a week. It's hard to know when it is nearly out of charge, so I just do it Tuesdays and Fridays. I also would like to get rid of the Zepp Aura on my screen, but can't find a way to do that.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had used a more well-known fitness band for years but was unhappy with their prices and quality and searched for something else. This Amazfit band is a perfect replacement. The quality is great, HR monitor is accurate, and the app is easy to use. Only complaint is that the battery doesn't quite last a week, but I'm 100% pleased with this band!
Bought it for my husband. He fell in love with it and hasn't stopped wearing it since. He even got himself an assortment of different colored bands to match every outfit. He's a huge fan of the sleep monitor, fitness tracker and the idle reminder. Plus the text and call notifications are a huge bonus he says. Definitely getting myself an Amazfit next!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic. This thing does everything I want (and more!). Honestly, I just wanted a step counter and to keep an eye on my sleep patterns. I feel like I'm not taking advantage of all the features jam packed into this little device, but my sleep logs are now turning into sleep journals since the app logs each day and has questions about: What were you doing prior to bed time? How did you feel when you woke up? so without even really trying, I have a detailed account of my nightly sleep (and naps too)! From what I've done comparing wearable devices, this thing pretty much does what the Apple Watch does at a fraction of the price. I don't really need to text via speaking into my wrist like a CIA agent, so that's not a feature I wanted, nor am I missing. Tell me what you can buy at this price point that does so much heavy lifting (features wise)?
