[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was surprised how much I liked Aquaphor lip repair! It glided on light so I didn't think it would help how chapped my lips become after a day of lipstick. My lips were smooth with only ONE application. I usually use Chapstick brand, but I have to keep putting on multiple times a day over several days for my lips to get relief.

I bought a new tube of this tonight-- my former one lasted so long. Something has 100% changed. It is, in fact, not fragrance-free. You can taste the shea butter, or chamomile-- or whatever, and it is DREADFUL. If not gag-worthy. I loved this before. I would call my self a lip-balm connoisseur, and I have fallen at the feet of Aquaphor products (so to speak). Furthermore- this product *was* so, so good. I loved it not only because of it's infallible texture, but because it smelled and tasted of NOTHING. It even plumped my lips and brought out their natural pigment. People would ask if I was wearing lipstick. I don't know why companies scrounge around in desperation to change something that is fool-proof and true, but this is a failure.

I went a week without a good lip balm and my lips were dry and crusting. I've had this balm for two days and my lips are already shiny and healthy. I see people are complaining that Carmex is better, when Carmex has been shown to contain ingredients that get your lips to rely on the product so you can continue purchasing it.

In the early winter of 2017 I started experiencing severe dry lips--in spite of using a great handmade, all natural lip balm. I had moved from Florida to Northern Illinois and was still acclimating to the cold and dry winters. My lips and the the skin around them became so red, inflamed and painful I almost made an appt with the doctor. Instead I scoured the drugstores looking for answers and asking the pharmacist for recommendations (no help). I finally bought about $60 in lip products and settled on Aquaphor as one of two that got me through the problem without having to go to the doctor. I love the feel of the creaminess, that is soaks in and conditions and that it stays with you. I am in the business of skincare, but, I just couldn't duplicate this lip balm without using chemicals, so, Aquaphor is on my list of approved lip treatments even with all the chemicals--which are mostly low risk according to EWG,
