described as new but it's not. it didn't come with the original box, no user manual or warranty manual. only a power cord and a short ethernet cable.

Took me about 45 minutes to set up. Follow instructions that come with it to the letter, and it helps to have the Xfinity app installed on your phone so you can use it to activate the device in your account. That little tip saved me a few problems but after setup, it works great. No issues. This will pay for itself and no more rental fees. Hope this helps.

I shopped around for the Arris Surfboard to replace the rental one that I have. I must say Walmart has the best price for this. The unit was delivered the same day as ordered, which is impressive. The product itself was packaged very well and the instructions were simple. It is a great product and working very well. Bonus is no more monthly rental from Comcast.

This item WAS NOT at FAULT. My cable company (Optimum/Altice) stated this modem was compatible with their system. It is not or they didn't wish to register it because they came out to house with their own modem, GATEWAY 6. So in the meantime I'm still renting for $12/mo!

I installed this modem, and I was not looking forward to it. Virtually every time that I tried to install a new program, a new laptop, an electronic upgrade, I had to call tech service and be on the line FOREVER. Not today. The instructions were excellent, everything worked the first time, and I did not have to contact tech service! Keeping my fingers crossed.
